What is Vikunja?
Vikunja organises tasks as lists, kanban boards, tables, calendars and Gantt charts over the same data, with labels, assignees, reminders and subtasks.
It is a complete project-tracking tool rather than a note-taking app, and it is designed from the start to be self-hosted.

Getting started with Vikunja

- Register the first account, then create a project and add a few tasks. Switch the same project between list, kanban, table, calendar and Gantt views to find the one that suits the work.
- Add your own domain from the same page when you are ready: point a DNS record at the server and the certificate is issued for you. The original address keeps working, so nothing you configured against it breaks.
- Take a backup once Vikunja is configured the way you want it. A backup captures the whole server, so restoring one brings back Vikunja and its data together — and it is the only thing that will bring them back.
