What is Syncthing?
Syncthing keeps folders identical across your machines by talking to them directly over an encrypted connection. There is no central server holding a master copy.
Running it on a server gives that peer-to-peer mesh something always online, so two laptops that are never awake at the same time still converge.

Getting started with Syncthing

- The web UI shows this server's device ID. Add it on your laptop or phone, accept the pairing from both ends, then choose which folder to share and whether to keep file versions.

Can I get an old version of a file back?
Yes, if you enable file versioning on the folder. Without it, a deletion propagates like any other change.
