What is NocoDB?
NocoDB puts a spreadsheet-style interface over a real SQL database: grids, kanban boards, galleries, calendars and forms, all backed by tables you can also query with SQL.
It is the closest open-source equivalent to Airtable, and it can be pointed at an existing database rather than only its own.

Getting started with NocoDB
- When the build finishes, your server's page in the dashboard shows its HTTPS address, its root password and any sign-in details the installer set for NocoDB. The build console streams every step as it happens, so you can see exactly what was installed rather than taking it on trust.
- Create the first account — it becomes the super admin — then either start a base from scratch or connect an existing PostgreSQL or MySQL database and work with the tables you already have.
- Add your own domain from the same page when you are ready: point a DNS record at the server and the certificate is issued for you. The original address keeps working, so nothing you configured against it breaks.
- Take a backup once NocoDB is configured the way you want it. A backup captures the whole server, so restoring one brings back NocoDB and its data together — and it is the only thing that will bring them back.
Frequently asked questions
How is NocoDB different from Baserow?
Both are Airtable-style tools. NocoDB is notable for connecting to an existing external database; Baserow is more opinionated about owning its own data. Either is a one-click install here, so trying both is inexpensive.
Is there a row limit?
No artificial limit — capacity is your server's disk and memory, not a plan tier.
