Metabase connects to your database and lets people ask questions of it through a point-and-click query builder, then collects the answers into dashboards that refresh on their own.

- Take a backup once Metabase is configured the way you want it. A backup captures the whole server, so restoring one brings back Metabase and its data together — and it is the only thing that will bring them back.
